She has experience working with clients from various backgrounds dealing with many issues such as depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, childhood trauma and abuse, relationship issues and phase of life problems. She is also an affirming LGBTQ therapist. It is her mission to help people heal wounds of the past, learn new ways to solve problems and acquire the skills necessary to create healthy, balanced lives they enjoy. I saw Angel for 3 years. She is really a wonderful therapist.
Not only is Angel one of the most patient and kind people that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, she’s super smart too. Anyone looking for an open and affirming counselor should look into her availability. She’s a stellar counselor!
While experiencing some personal challenging situations in my life, I found it necessary to seek professional counseling. It was quite important for me to find someone who was well educated, down to earth, and comfortable working with the gay population. Angel Jernigan exceeded my expectations. Immediately, I felt “at home” in a quiet, calm relaxing office environment. Angel showed genuine compassion for my situation, I feel always had my best interest in mind, and was always honest with me. I didn’t want someone to “baby” me, or only say what I wanted to hear. Her professionalism, insight, and authentic nature was consistent over the two years I utilized her services. I have also referred friends to her as well, and they have had similiar experiences. I’m thankful she was there for me when I needed someone most.
I’ve been seeing Angel for well over a year now and she has helped me move past my issues related to childhood trauma as well as helped me navigate my current relationship and other personal struggles, more so than any other therapist I’ve seen in the past. She has never made me feel judged in any way and is always in my corner. She’s also very knowledgeable and has taught me a lot about a lot of things. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great therapist.
