As a psychologist Lara has conducted research and published in the areas of resilience, family psychology, youth homelessness, and psycho-biology. Her private practice has focused on issues related to adolescent development, family dynamics, anxiety, depression, as well as sexual and gender identity.
Lara has great experience working with LGBTQ clients, including individual and couple therapy. She is well trained, with a PH.D. from the University of Washington, and 10 years experience as a psychologist. Lara is co-vice chair of the board for The Trevor Project and brings a wealth of understanding to her work. Our Birmingham community is lucky to have Lara with us.
