They wanted to be a photographer that wouldn’t turn anyone away, our doors would always be open. Since then they have altered our business model, and concentrated on what really meant the most to us. They are a fun loving husband and wife team, who always make the best of every session. While they always recommend a full session to get the most out of what they offer as a business, they have made a mission to be affordable to everyone by continuing to offer limited edition sessions though-out the year that allows everyone the chance to have beautiful photos – at a cost that is within their budget. A family member purchased the photo session for my 2 year old twin girls’ birthday. I never met Laura, but the moment I met her she made me feel at ease. I wasn’t sure if she was ok with my situation, but she immediately reassured us and made us feel comfortable. She took awesome photos!!! She was able to capture awesome shots amongst the chaos of my twins! I only wish I had more money so I could pay her to capture the memories we are making!!! We will definitely call on her again when it’s time for more pictures!!!!
Phenomenal photographer. She was there every step of the way from planning to photography orders. She listened to what We wanted and made it happen. I appreciated that she arrived early and stayed until the last guest. Gorgeous work! What really made her stand out was how affirming of our love she was. We told her up front we were a lesbian couple. She assured us that didn’t matter to her and all she cares about was love and capturing love. We felt like she didn’t shy away from capturing any part of our day from the beginning to the kiss your bride to the last dance. Gay, straight or unlabeled, you couldn’t ask for a better photographer.
Laura photographed my child’s newborn pictures and one year photos and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend her.
When looking for a wedding photographer for our October 2015 wedding, we were really nervous and apprehensive about finding a lesbian friendly photographer. We stumbled upon Laura Skellie Photography (LSP) through a friends photos we loved. From start to finish LSP was amazing! Laura was kind, professional, funny and made us feel so comfortable which helped make our day and photos perfect. It was important to us to have someone that wasn’t just tolerating our wedding for the business. Laura met that requirement easily.
