My wife and I went to Longhorn for dinner one night. The host was a young gay male who could tell we were on a date and was very pleasant, giving us a knowing “Me too” look. Our waitress was straight but was very nice and treated us like a normal couple out on a date. The manager of the restaurant (possibly a lesbian?) came by the table and chatted with us a few minutes, asking us if we were locals and what brought us out to the restaurant (whether it was a special event, etc.)
Usually when we go out to eat we have to be careful, but at this Longhorn we felt comfortable to even hold hands on the table top. The host, waitress, and manager were all very nice and treated us very well. I would feel safe coming here again for an anniversary or any date night.
Oh, and the food was great, too. I’m always ready for a good steak and a nice glass of wine. 🙂
