As a gay man looking to expand my sense of community, I recently attended a service at Neighborhood UU Church in Pasadena. Before even entering the building, a sense of LGBT visibility was established with rainbow partitions decorating the courtyard. Always nice to know you are among friends. The ministry, congregation, readings, songs, etc. were diverse and inclusive of all populations, including LGBT persons. After the service, I learned about Rainbow Connections, an LGBTQ youth social group that Neighborhood UU hosts once a month – how neat! I plan on getting more involved with Neighborhood UU and am thankful for such a loving and affirming place.
