The Orlando VA Medical Center and corporate locations are LGBT friendly as a workplace and as a large scale medical care provider. I am grateful for the support I receive as well as the programs that have been created to support our “family” who have served in the military. I have seen a dramatic increase of services offered by mental health providers to help veterans relate to a variety of LGBT issues in individual and group counseling. I am, however, most impressed with the services for our transgender “family” members who are transitioning to female because their care is being managed by outstanding health care providers in the Women’s Health Clinic. I am happy to call the Orlando VA my home for both healthcare and employment.
