I am a full time sophomore at Southern CT University. As a member of the LGBT Club I could not be more proud of my school and the acceptance it receives from the student body. There are a variety of LGBT awareness events on campus that always have a great turn out. The most recent event was a LGBT ice cream social, it was a instant success. Even when the ice cream ran out people still stayed around to mingle and interact. I have never experienced verbal or physical abuse from any other person on campus due to my sexual preference.
